DEBURRING AND BLOWING
AR FILTRAZIONI | DEBURRING AND BLOWING
Filtration and purification of fumes and oil mists deriving from deburring and blowing
Some types of pollutants are generated during blowing and cleaning of pieces produced, by pressurized air, pulverizing and dispersing oil mists into the air. Even the deburring of materials and finishing operations can generate very toxic fumes.
AR Filtrazioni has a wide range of products dedicated to the filtration and purification of pollutants deriving from deburring and blowing of the pieces.
Manual deburring and blowing operations
In all mechanical workshops there are Some procedures in all workshops have to be made manually.
At the end of the working cycle of secondary turning machines, the operators often clean the pieces from chips or coolant residues with a jet of pressurized air.
Same situation during grinding with manual tools (grinders or grinding wheels) which allows the finishing from imperfections.
All these procedures create various inconveniences in metalworking companies in terms of workshop and air cleanliness.
Let’s examine the two cases carefully.
Blowing parts with compressed air gun
During blowing, in fact, with the force of pressurized air, oil and metal micro-particles on the workpieces become volatile in the atmosphere and therefore dangerously inhalable, while the coarser parts could go on just cleaned pieces with the risk of making them rust.
Last but not least, the problem oil settling on on machine tools and on the floor, making it particularly slippery and dangerous.
AR Filtrazioni solution to all these drawbacks is an su bench!

The workshops (particularly turning shops working small metal parts with neat oil) utilizing a bench/cabin for each machine tool for, have found a better logistical organization of the work and a further recovery of the re-condensed oil, with collection in a special tank during blowing phase.
Deburring of parts with manual pneumatic tool or with small wheels.
In almost all mechanical workshops there is a Dept. for manual deburring or for maintenance/repair tools, etc . These activities not only produce a lot of dust, harmful to health and dirtying the workshop, but can also cause risk of fire, because of small grain size of aluminum or titanium powders, potentially flammable and explosive. AR Filtrazioni with over 35 years of experience is able to give complete solutions to these problems.
The problem of oil mists-dusts-fumes if not held in mechanical workshops.
The volatility of polluting particles such as industrial fumes, oily mists and aerosols, whether solid or liquid, entails and creates various problems for metalworking companies, operators and machine tools.
First of all, they negatively affect the health of the air and the health and hygiene conditions of the operators, in particular at the respiratory level, since the particles smaller than 0.3 microns can reach the pulmonary alveoli, compromising the respiratory tract.
Not only that, in contact with the epidermis, they create skin irritations, dermatitis and redness.
From the standpoint of production, micro-dust and oil mists pollution in the workshop considerably reduces the productivity and in particular the efficiency of the machine tools, since the stratification of pollutants invalidates the precision and tolerance of the measuring instruments, with the onerous consequence of having to increase maintenance on the most delicate components.
Dusts, oil mists and aerosols not filtered and purified, make the floor slippery, dirty the surfaces of the machine tools and the walls of the shed, on which they settle.
Without forgetting any possible fines deriving from current regulations, which impose a concentration limit for oil mists in the workplace.
Italian TLV limit 5 mg / m3
more restrictive ACGIH limit 0.5 mg / m3
