Suction and filtration dusts and powders from dry processing
Particular production requirements resulting from type of processing or type of material worked, require dry processing, without coolant. Dry dusts reaching minimum size are volatile and remain suspended in the air during processing/cleaning.
AR Filtrazioni designs and manufactures plants for filtration and purification of dry dusts and powders suspended in the air, due to machining processes of machine tools.
Dry-processing powders
Dry dusts reaching minimum size are volatile and remain suspended in the air during processing/cleaning.
N.B. for dry processing of potentially non-flammable/non-explosive materials (for the latter refer to the HYDROFILTER series).
This type of atmospheric pollutant is mainly found in the mechanical and metal engineering industry, where work such as turning, milling, grinding, drawing, drilling, boring, shearing, cutting, threading, cold strain of metal materials are the primary source.
The main causes of dry dust can be traced back to the summation of these two factors:
– a very hard but equally fragil molecular structure of the processed material, such as graphite, carbon and therefore cast iron, induces the its rupture if beated, creating so thin and than volatile dusts.
– Because of the high performances of machine tools, achieved in terms of power, turns/cutter.
It should not be forgotten that during dry mechanical processing, dusts are not the only pollutant, but also fumes from evaporation of grease/protective spray residues and coolants left on the surface of the processed part during the entire production chain. In fact during the extrusion and metal removal, the tool or the cutter goes into contact with the piece to be worked; friction overheats them considerably, producing fumes and aerosols because of the evaporation/burning of these residues.
The volatility of solid pollutants and fumes, entails and creates various problems for companies, operators and machine tools.
First, in addition to the healthy air, they negatively affect the sanitary conditions of the operators, especially at the respiratory level, since particles smaller than 0.3 microns can reach the pulmonary alveoli, compromising the airways. Not only that, in contact with the epidermis, they create skin irritations, dermatitis and redness.
From a purely productive point of view, pollution in the workshop from micro-dusts and foil mists considerably reduces the productivity of the workshop and in particular the efficiency of machine tools, since the stratification of pollutants affects the precision and tolerance of measuring instruments, with the onerous consequence of having to increase maintenance on the most delicate components.
Dust, oil mists and aerosols, if unfiltered and purified, make the floor slippery, soil the surfaces of the machine tools and the walls of the shed, on which they settle.
