Schütte is a leading international manufacturer of machine tools. Our group, based in Cologne, produces multi-spindle automatic lathes and 5-axis CNC grinding machines. We have affiliated companies as well as dealers and business partners who represent our products on different continents.

Alfred H. Schütte was founded in 1880 as an importing firm by Privy Councillor Alfred Heinrich Schütte. As early as 1915, in addition to engaging in trade, he began building machine tools. This was the beginning of a history rich in success in the field of machine tool construction, characterized by many innovative product developments. The family-run business has already been under the leadership of the owners for four generations, managing partner Carl Martin Welcker is the great-grandson of the company’s founder.
